Hi, I'm Wendy.
Action-oriented strategy consultant, trust-based funder, network weaver, and non-profit capacity builder.

I'm a seasoned consultant and public health leader with a proven track record of driving successful cross-sector partnerships, improving processes, shaping policies, and launching innovative community initiatives.

I am deeply committed to social justice, and my work is grounded in both personal and professional experiences, with a steadfast focus on advancing health and well-being for all. I am dedicated to ensuring access to critical resources—such as nature, health care, housing, and economic opportunity—that every individual needs to thrive.
I earned a Master’s in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles. I began my career in the non-profit sector and went on to work in philanthropy at Blue Shield of California Foundation and Marin Community Foundation before founding Wendy Todd Consulting.
When I am not working, you can find me leading mountain bike rides for the San Rafael High School team, volunteering at the KALX 90.7 radio station, advocating for social justice in my community, playing cards or singing Karaoke with my family, or hiking with the best dog on the planet - Doji (aka Luv Bug)!

Lived Experiences
My worldview is rooted in equity and the belief that true freedom is collective—none of us are fully free until everyone is free.
My lived experience with income inequality, housing instability, and mental illness within my family, alongside witnessing the systemic oppression faced by BIPOC communities, has deeply shaped my commitment to social justice. These experiences continue to inform my work to address persistent disparities, particularly those driven by racial inequity, and to help build systems that are more just, inclusive, and humane.
Outdoor Justice
In the early 2000s, I began mountain biking when the sport was far from inclusive.
I saw the lack of women, people of color, and individuals with disabilities participating and became intentional about welcoming more people to the sport.
As a ride leader for the San Rafael Public High School Mountain Bike Team, I am committed to diversifying the sport and making it more welcoming to all.

Poison Oak Productions
I am co-producer and co-director of two documentaries focused on
inclusive outdoor access.

Singletrack Minds
A short documentary that explores the roots of contention between hikers and mountain bikers in Marin County, CA, the so-called "birthplace of mountain biking."
