CLIENT SPOTLIGHT

Marin Center for Independent Living

Marin CIL is a 46-year-old peer-led, community-based disability rights and services organization that promotes individuals of all ages with all types of disabilities to achieve their maximum level of sustainable independence as contributing, responsible, and equal participants in society.

I've partnered with MCIL since 2014 and provided the following services:

  • Formalized a new partnership with Marin Community Clinics to leverage care coordination resources for people who have disabilities and complex medical conditions seeking support to address social determinants of health.

  • Supported the development of Aging and Disability Resource Connection - a state designated model that requires a formalized partnership between Marin CIL and Marin County Division on Aging and Adult Services.

  • Provided project management for the development of the organization’s disaster preparedness efforts that centered on equitably distributing resources to people with disabilities, particularly Black, Indigenous, and people of color.
