Health Plan of San Mateo​
HPSM is a local community-based health plan with a vision that Healthy is for Everyone – and they fight to make that possible. By partnering with providers and community organizations, we are able to advocate for the health of our members and meet the highest standards for quality of care.
Since 2014, I have partnered with HPSM to provide the following services:

Led reflection and planning processes.

Supported the San Mateo Children’s Health Initiative, a funder collaboration.

Guided an organizational strategic planning process.

Enhanced communication teams.

Organized retreats for staff and Commissioners to align on the organization’s future

Co-created a robust strategic planning process that included input from a number of sources, including health plan members, board members, and community partners, and took into consideration the dynamic health care environment and diversity of needs and assets in the organization’s service areas of three very different counties: Santa Cruz, Monterey and Merced.​

Partnership HealthPlan of California

Facilitated the organization’s first strategic planning process and three years later supported a process to refresh the strategic plan.

Facilitated focus groups of Medi-Cal members to understand access to cervical cancer screening, orthopedic care and well-child preventative care.

Created and facilitated a process to design a new health care benefit (i.e. palliative care). Facilitated Board discussion and decision-making focused on the social determinants of health. Developed and presented options for a strategic approach to allocating reserves.
