Central California Alliance for Health

Co-created a robust strategic planning process that included input from a number of sources, including health plan members, board members, and community partners, and took into consideration the dynamic health care environment and diversity of needs and assets in the organization’s service areas of three very different counties: Santa Cruz, Monterey and Merced.

Health Plan of San Mateo

Engaged with HPSM since 2014 and provided the following services:

Designed and facilitated a reflection and planning process for one department within the organization that resulted in a clear articulation of the team’s vision, mission, values, and long-term goals that will support the team’s ability to more effectively partner with other departments.
Provided meeting design and facilitation support for the San Mateo Children’s Health Initiative, a cross-sector funder collaborative, with a purpose to make well-informed decisions with reserves held in the CHI Trust Fund to address community needs as related to children’s health through investments in early mental and oral health.
Designed and facilitated an organizational strategic planning process.
Facilitated processes to deepen collaboration and communication among various teams within the organization.
Facilitated annual retreats to foster understanding and agreement of the organization’s future direction among staff and Commissioners.

Partnership HealthPlan of California

Facilitated the organization’s first strategic planning process and three years later supported a process to refresh the strategic plan.
Facilitated focus groups of Medi-Cal members to understand access to cervical cancer screening, orthopedic care and well-child preventative care.
Created and facilitated a process to design a new health care benefit (i.e. palliative care). Facilitated Board discussion and decision-making focused on the social determinants of health. Developed and presented options for a strategic approach to allocating reserves.
